MUST KNOW VILLE TO VILLE INFO
Our race day guidebook is a completely digital, interactive guide on our website. Visit here to start your relay.
What’s in the Bag?
The must-have items for race day are in your manila envelope that will be picked up at the Welcome Reception – including your vehicle hangtag, bibs, and safety pins. You will get your slap bracelet with a timing chip on Saturday morning. Shirts, medals, and swag for the whole team, including driver package shirts, are located in the large section of the bag. Visit the Finish Line gear tent to exchange shirts for a different size while supplies last.
Open Roads Course
This is an open roads course. Stay alert and run against traffic unless otherwise directed by course signage, our staff, or volunteers. Please pay attention to the driver directions rather than the runner directions.
Vehicle Hangtags
Your vehicle hangtag must be displayed on your vehicle’s rearview mirror for the entirety of the race to get into the designated lots along the course. Only one team vehicle is allowed in the parking lots.
Safety Gear & Hydration Requirement
Safety equipment, including a reflective vest, headlamp, and a blinking LED light, is required for all runners who run before 7:00 am or after 7:00 pm, or in inclement conditions. Safety Gear is also required for all Leg 2 runners! Hydration packs may be required if the temperature/humidity reaches elevated levels. Please be prepared!
Starting Line
Please arrive at the start no more than 25 minutes before your scheduled start time. Your first runner should collect your slap bracelet with timing chip from the Check-in Station and can proceed to the Starting Line when their start wave is announced. There are no rolling starts, so please start at your exact time. Slap bracelets will be exchanged between active runners at each transition.
Bibs
Active runners must wear a bib while on the course. Your bib also includes a detachable coupon for your free beer at the finish line celebration. Safety pins are in your team packet for your convenience.
Food and Hydration
Bring enough food and water for your entire team for the full day. It is important that your team van is well-stocked. This is a pack-in/pack-out event. Please place all garbage in the provided trash bag. A large dumpster will be available at the finish line if needed.
RaceJoy
We recommend using the RaceJoy app to track your runners’ arrival and ensure they do not get lost along the course. We can track all runners who carry their phones and use the app, helping to find lost runners. IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING LOST, THEN PLEASE CARRY YOUR PHONE WHILE YOU RUN.
Medals
Medals for each team member are in your bag, so you can place them on your teammates as they finish their final leg of the relay! Have a blast out there and stay safe!!!
Finish Line Celebration
The finish line celebration will be a crowded and lively event. Feel free to bring blankets or camping chairs. Award winners will be announced via text message as soon as possible. Awards can be claimed at the Gear Tent at the finish line between 7:30-9 pm, or you can email info@villetovillerelay.com to arrange a Greenville pickup on Sunday morning.
